Pass Mark

The pass mark is a standardised mark of 220, applicants must achieve this pass mark in order to be considered for a place at the school. This standardised mark is the same as is used by all schools in the Lincolnshire Consortium of Grammar Schools. When students are tied for places the student with the higher mark in the entry exam will be given a place.

Additional Eligibility

If more applicants meet the qualifying score than available places, the school uses the following oversubscription criteria to determine admissions, prioritising applicants in this order:

  1. Children with an Education, Health, and Care Plan

  2. Looked-after children and all previously looked-after children

  3. Pupils living within the designated free transport area (traditional catchment area) who have a sibling at the school at the time of application and will still be attending when the child starts

  4. Pupils living within the designated free transport area who meet the required score

  5. Pupils from outside the free transport area but attending primary schools within it (Alford, Huttoft, Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Theddlethorpe, Willoughby, and Withern) who have a sibling at the school and meet the required score
